About Us
Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) is a global provider of silicone technologies. SSP was founded in 1989 by four employees of GE Silicones who saw the potential in new niche markets and realized that innovative products were needed to meet this growing demand. For the pharmaceutical industry, SSP’s founders began developing PTFE-lined silicone septa and caps.
Today, SSP offers these standard and custom products:

- Magnetic caps
- EPA/VOA septa
- Cap mats

At our manufacturing facility in Ballston Spa, New York (USA), SSP has over 70 employees and a footprint that spans 54,000 sq. ft. We celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2015 and are proud of our ISO 9001:2015 certification. Today, our complete product portfolio includes:
